oman Attempts To Save Husband | 999: On
[Music]
Shan and Paul have just received an
urgent call out so we are going to a 73y
old male who is difficult to wake up but
I'm not entirely sure
why it was very vague it just not um
difficult to wake so worst case scenario
where the person's collapsed or gone to
Cardiac
Arrest 4716 we are at the property but
there's no sign alive I was just
wondering where the phone call come from
I know he's contacted
111 and but we can't go in at the moment
I just had a first call from treor one
stting that they're still on the phone
give CPR instructions we'll have to kick
the back gate and but no one's coming to
the door unfortunately is she doing CPR
is that why she's not come to the
door it appears that a family member may
be inside attempting to give life-saving
CPR Shan and Paul need to get to the
patient
fast
as soon as we found out that the patient
was in cardiac Aras we didn't have the
time to wait because it a a
lifethreatening
emergency this is not normal you know we
don't do things like this on a regular
basis STS to your left she is hello
paramedic Vicki from the second crew is
also here but we knew there was a threat
to life at this stage so we had to gain
ENT
Hello
Duck all right sweetheart we're
here all right we've got in we managed
to gain an the patient's name is John
his wife is
Lillian it was obvious very quickly that
John unfortunately had passed away and
our main concern at that point was
caring for lilan because she was
physically and mentally
exhausted I'm Becky and Sean Sean you
all Wy aren't you do I know are you
normally like this no the shock yeah all
right we
are Lillian is close to collapse after
carrying out chest compressions on her
74-year-old husband John who has had a
cardiac
arrest I came up this afternoon and I
rang the paramedics cuz I could see as
he was going down B and I came up I
don't know what time it was and that's
how I found him you got anyone that you
were calling
circumstances yes yeah I've never seen
anybody quite as exhausted as she was
and she was in a state when we got there

just making them feel like they're not
on their own can be a really important
part of our
job as well as everything else that we
do
